Resourcing Specialist Organizations

We provide fundings to specialized partner organizations to ensure quality services for women and children experiencing violence.

We also support prevention initiatives aimed at younger generations, especially boys and men. They are intended to inspire a positive change in attitudes and behaviors as well as to promote gender equality, putting an end to the perpetuation of violence from one generation to the next.

Lastly, we facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing between organizations to develop and implement policies and practices tailored to the needs of women and children.

Engaging Kering and its ecosystem to create secure workplaces for women survivors

Since 2011, we have offered training sessions on domestic violence to Kering employees, designed to explore the complexity of this topic, understand its impact in the workplace, and learn how to support colleagues. These sessions are conducted by specialist organizations: Donne in Rete contro la violenza (Italy), Fédération nationale solidarité femmes (France), Korea Women’s Hot-Line (Korea), National Network to End Domestic Violence (Etats-Unis), Red Nacional de Refugios (Mexico) and Women’s Aid (United Kingdom).

In 2021, Kering Foundation introduced a global Policy on Domestic Violence for the 49,000 Kering employees. Under this Policy, employees experiencing domestic violence who decide to speak up about their situation can benefit from a domestic violence special leave, flexible working conditions and financial assistance. Employees can also benefit from the support of the Kering Foundation’s partner organizations.

These procedures are shared with Kering’s Houses and other companies.

Influencing new audiences and mobilizing others

By mobilizing our network, we work to bring together new actors, to raise awareness of gender-based violence as well as actions aimed at driving lasting changes in behavior.

2018 saw Kering and FACE (Fondation Agir Contre l'Exclusion) Foundations jointly establish One In Three Women, the first European network of companies engaged to combat violence against women. In 2021, Kering was also named a champion of the “Gender-Based Violence action coalition” during the Generation Equality Forum organized by UN Women. Kering Foundation furthers this commitment by creating exchanges and workshops with other companies to share best practices within the private sector on how to tackle domestic violence in the workplace.

To raise additional funds for organizations working to combat gender-based violence, Kering Foundation has hosted an annual Caring for Women dinner in New York City since 2021. This event welcomes prominent personalities from the worlds of art, media, entertainment, and fashion, and notably features a live auction of unique items and experiences donated by Kering’s Houses.
